Assuming

How great the power of assuming. Here i write about its power and greatness in decieving and how this decieving feels so real to our mind like a rose where its beautiful but has thorns on its stems

Why is it so powerful?

First, letme give you an illustration. This man, by the name of Valthier, wanted to make a birthday party for his girlfriend. Obviously, he wouldn't be able to do all this by himself, so he called up his girlfriend's best friend to work together with him to plan this party right. After planning and planning, everything is almost done. What is left is only the invitation to friends and who should come. Both are tired throughout the day after all the planning and buying of stuffs. Its almost party time in a few hours time, and not even a single invitation call was made. Both decide to go home and take a rest and at the same time make those invitation calls to their friends. When both reached home, both were so tempted to take a short nap. (Here comes its POWER!) Valthier here was even more tempted to go straight to bed, and without any thinking of the invitation because he ASSUME that his girlfriend's best friend would make all the calls for him, he jumps up onto his bed and snoozed off. Meanwhile at the other end, she did the similiar same thing. Thinking that Valthier would already be making the calls right now, she just jumps on the couch and watch the O.C. on television. Since both ASSUME the other did those calls, in the end, nobody made those calls and eventually no one came at all. Valthier's girlfriend herself didnt even come and was mad because She thought that Valthier had forgotten her birthday (see how this can become so real even though it is just her thinking)

ALL CHARACTERS AND STORY IS FICTIONAL AND NONE OF IT ARE TRUE. ALL ARE MADE UP CHARACTERS AND ALSO STORY.

I'm pretty sure this ASSUMING thing has happened to you in the past. And once it actually had happen, it became a real mess. Better prevent than for it to happen right?

One thing you must always do is never ASSUME or THOUGHT or create a THEORY or GUESS anything before hand. It may seem very very real to your mind, and most of the time you would most probably think that you are always right, this could just be a mistake if you do not CHECK on whatever you are soppose to be doing.

ALWAYS CHECK, and NEVER ASSUME.

Another thing is, it is much more convenient and money saving, and timesaving, and energysaving, for YOU to just SMS or give your Boss, Leaders, Captain, Master, Head, and so on a call to tell them that you are going on a holiday next week or won't be able to make it for dinner reunion and so on rather than the Boss, Leaders and so on to call or SMS you one by one just to ask you those things.

A man from Norfolk, VA called a local radio station to share this on
Sept 11th, 2003 , TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001. His
name was Robert Matthews.

These are his words:
A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going
to have our first child. She planned a trip out to California to
visit her sister. On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would
grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I
said 'amen,' we both heard a loud pop and the car shook violently. We
had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but
we still missed her Flight.

Both very upset, we drove home. I received a call from my father who
was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife's flight number was, but I
explained that we missed the flight. My father informed me that her
flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too
shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going
to help. 'This is not something I can't just sit by for; I have to do
something.' I was concerned for his safety, of course, but more
because he had never given his life to Christ. After a brief debate,
I knew his mind was made up.

Before he got off of the phone, he said, 'take good care of my
Grandchild. Those were the last words I ever heard my father say; he
died while helping in the rescue effort. My joy that my prayer of
safety for my wife had been answered quickly became anger. I was
angry at God, at my father, and at myself. I had gone for nearly two
years blaming God for taking my father away. My son would never know
his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, and I never got
to say goodbye.

Then something happened. About two months ago, I was sitting at home
with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the door. I looked
at my wife, but I could tell she wasn't expecting anyone. I opened
the door to a Couple with a small child. The man looked at me and
asked if my father's name was Jake Matthews. I told him it was. He
quickly grabbed my hand and said, 'I never got the chance to meet
your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.'

He explained to me that his wife had worked in the World Trade Center
and had been caught inside after the attack. She was pregnant and had
been caught under debris. He then explained that my father had been
the one to find his wife and free her. My eyes welled up with tears
as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this. He
then said, 'there is something else you need to know.'

His wife then told me that as my father worked to free her, she
talked to him and led him to Christ. I began sobbing at the news.
Now I know that when I get to Heaven, my father will be standing
beside Jesus to welcome me, and that this family would be able to
thank him themselves.

When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew, in honor
of the man who gave his life so that a mother and baby could live.

This story should help us to realize two things:
First - Though it has been five+ years since the attacks, we should
never let it become a mere tragic memory.
Second - but most important - God is always in control. We may not see
the reason behind things, and we may never know this side of heaven,
but God is ALWAYS in control.

Please take time to share this amazing story with those you love. You
may never know the impact it may have on someone. God doesn't call
the qualified, He qualifies the called. Give thanks to the Lord for
He is good. His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1

Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always. A promise, like a reward for persisting through life so long alone…A belief, in each other and the possibility of love…that decision to ignore or simply rise above the pain of the past…The covenant which once it bind two souls and yet severs to priorities…The celebration of the chance taken and the challenge which lies ahead. For two will always be stronger than one, like a team braced against the tempest of the world. And love will always be the guiding force in our life. For tonight is a mirthful melody only an announcement to the world of feelings long held, promises made long ago in the sacred space of our hearts

Dengue Fever

Dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics, with a geographical spread similar to malaria. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day.

Signs and symptoms

This infectious disease is manifested by a sudden onset of fever, with severe headache, muscle and joint pains (myalgias and arthralgias - severe pain gives it the name break-bone fever or bonecrusher disease) and rashes; the dengue rash is characteristically bright red petechia and usually appears first on the lower limbs and the chest - in some patients, it spreads to cover most of the body. There may also be gastritis with some combination of associated abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Some cases develop much milder symptoms, which can, when no rash is present, be misdiagnosed as influenza or other viral infection. Thus, travelers from tropical areas may inadvertently pass on dengue in their home countries, having not been properly diagnosed at the height of their illness. Patients with dengue can only pass on the infection through mosquitoes or blood products while they are still febrile.

The classic dengue fever lasts about six to seven days, with a smaller peak of fever at the trailing end of the fever (the so-called "biphasic pattern"). Clinically, the platelet count will drop until the patient's temperature is normal.

Cases of DHF also show higher fever, haemorrhagic phenomena, thrombocytopenia and haemoconcentration. A small proportion of cases lead to dengue shock syndrome (DSS) which has a high mortality rate.

Treatment

The mainstay of treatment is supportive therapy. Increased oral fluid intake is recommended to prevent dehydration. If the patient is unable to maintain oral intake, supplementation with intravenous fluids may be necessary to prevent dehydration and significant hemoconcentration. A platelet transfusion is rarely indicated if the platelet level drops significantly (below 20,000) or if there is significant bleeding.

The presence of melena may indicate internal gastrointestinal bleeding requiring platelet and/or red blood cell transfusion.

It is very important to avoid Aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. These drugs are often used to treat pain and fever, but in this case, they may actually aggravate the bleeding tendency associated with some of these infections. If dengue is suspected, patients should receive instead acetaminophen preparations to deal with these symptoms

Taken from Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia

Why i'm posting this is because I have just went to test for Dengue again for the 3rd time in 10 months. Malaysia is the 3rd highest cases in the whole world in the year of 2005 with about 33,000 cases reported. In my condo which i am staying, there have also been a number of cases reported. Sometimes i see those lories going over to smoke the whole condo. Im not sure about the other block but my block has been smoked for a number of times already.

Doctor says that Dengue actually will NOT kill you if you EAT normally and drink lots of water. We musnt let ourself dehydrate as this will fasten the growing or multiplication of the dengue cells. Even if we have no apetite or having diarrhea, we must keep eating normally and drink lots of water.

This is a blood cell of a person with dengue would look like:

Oh ya. You guys must be wondering about the results of my blood test. Well, Its negative for now. Why? Doctor says that i have the symtoms of a dengue but still there is no signs of dengue in my blood. And my blood count is also normal. Doc says red spots might be viral infection if it is not dengue. My family thinks it could be measels or allergy because now it itches so much...argh...*scratch scratch* So if i get any worse, then i might be admited to the hospital. i just drank about 1 litres of water and my throat still feels dry...oh gosh...im so full of water...and now my aunt is making this tea which makes you sweat...err..i dont have fever, do i need to sweat...

Ok, off i go to drink those stuffs....bye peeps...

My dad kinda feel errr....dunno how to explain...My car actually just underwent a one week repairs(on all dented areas), changed parts, and respray the whole car which cost for a thousand plus...and now another accident just after 2 weeks repairing it..So cham...

Well..Accident is over..and the guy even ask us to pay him for him banging our car...what is this! You bang from behind, ur fault la follow so close... In the end, nobody paid anything. My dad also just let go as the guy was kind of a young boy(older than me i think) and his car much worse damaged than mine. Luckily my bumper is made of STEEL! HAHAHAH!! Thats the advantage of Old car! Steel bumpers...his car kena teruk by my steel bumper...

Next...is our adventure to find the Hotel. We took quite alot of turns here and there coz all the roads become one way street. My dad from Penang also blur dy since he left Penang 30+ years ago. His old house where he stayed last time also demolished dy. Now got apartments there. Finally we got to our Hotel. Checked in and immediately i lie down on the bed. My back is aching from the 4 hours ride in that car. They actually got a picture of this hotel in Google...lol

After that, we went out for dinner and we ate RUBBISH! yay! Thats what they all call it. Rubbish! Hahaha...I wonder why...Even tho they call it rubbish..it just taste soooooooooo NICE! So delicious! One shop there is totally miles better than every food shop in KL!

We ate, Char Kuay Teow, Loh Bak,

Prawn Mee, Egg wif Oyster[Oh Chien](How u spell the chinese version), Poppiah, Chee Cheong Fun...and lots more! Yeeepii!!

The good thing is i didnt even gained any weight! lol! Everytihing seems to be going on well this few weeks...Even though i struggle with a few things, i got through with it. A huge challenge it is along with so many things going on with Emerge! Parade of Schools practices till late at night or should i say very early in the morning, Futsal practice which i eventually quitted because i had to train for PoS, Transformers design, PS2 Winning Eleven which i lost to Wilsey in the 2nd Round, Then the PoS competition itself on the 1st day of Emerge, And the last day of Emerge which VU eventually emerge as victorious! GO VU!

Although we lost the PoS, but we did our best, we gave our all in practices and also on that day itself. To all the PoS VU members, Girls(Cheryl, Tracy, Haruka, En Ai, Krystina, Christina, Sara, Sharon, Pheobe, and Vina) and Guys(Adam, Hunter, Eric, Wern Sern, YC, Malcolm, David, Edison, and Lex) its so nice to be in the same team as you all. Let's battle it out again next year! Who knows, we might be champions!

Lets bring revival back to Malaysia!
